Our Curriculum

At Hopewell Preschool, we utilize a balanced approach to structured learning and open-ended exploration in a loving, Christian environment. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum fosters:

  • Early literacy and math skills
  • Fine and gross motor skill development
  • Social-emotional growth
  • Creative expression
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking

Our Letter Friends curriculum and yearly pacing guide—developed by licensed educators—are grounded in research-based best practices. Many children who begin with us at age 2 become confident emergent readers by the time they graduate at age 4 or 5.

Beyond the Curriculum

Enrichment

Each week, children attend a themed Enrichment class with Mrs. Beth, featuring creative activities like fire safety lessons, a turkey hunt, or the ever-popular “Pet Vet.” These experiences inspire curiosity, imaginative play, and social learning—creating memories that last.

Chapel

Each Wednesday, all preschoolers gather for a joyful 30-minute Chapel service. Together, they sing praise songs, memorize scripture, and hear a Bible story. During the week, classroom activities help reinforce the lesson, allowing children to connect what they’ve learned to their everyday experiences. Our goal is for every child to grow in understanding and experience the depth of God’s love.

Adventures in Movement

Each week, children will participate in Adventures in Movement. These active sessions help children develop gross motor skills like jumping, climbing, throwing, and tumbling. These fun, active lessons also promote better cognitive focus and retention through movement-based learning.

Our Programs

2s Program

A warm, play-based introduction to learning—focusing on social interaction, motor skills, and gentle early academics. Children explore, discover, and connect through activities that build confidence and curiosity.

Flexible 2-, 3-, 4-, or 5-day schedules available.

3s Program

Hands-on learning experiences that strengthen motor skills, introduce early literacy and math concepts, and spark curiosity through science and social studies. Focus on name recognition, pre-writing, and following directions in group settings.

Available in 3-, 4-, or 5-day schedules.

4s Program

A kindergarten-readiness program blending academics, social-emotional growth, and faith. Children develop reading readiness, math skills, handwriting, and problem-solving while exploring science and social studies.

Available in 4- or 5-day schedules.

This program is also an excellent option for children who were not quite ready for kindergarten and would thrive with additional time to develop socially, emotionally, or academically.
